Turn your vision into working drawings

If you have a small to medium size project that you've specified yourself, a draftsman or CAD designer might be the best choice for creating working drawings your contractors can use.

A draftsman can take your specifications for cabinetry, appliances, and room dimensions to create drawings that can be refined to render your vision so you can see if it's exactly what you want. You can make changes to an accurate drawing for much less than it would cost to make changes after the first nail is driven.

Using new computer-assisted programs, you can specify colors and finishes, lighting, and layout that can be changed relatively easily. Views can be created that provide 3-D representations as well as fully functional working drawings from which you or your contractor can create materials specifications and project schedules.

This is a particularly useful approach for the homeowner who has the creativity and visual aptitude to express their design, but who also has the patience and time to do the research and collect the information from which the draftsman will work.
