Stucco Texture Contractors (Exterior and Interior)
Durable stucco offers retro style
California dreaming? Try stucco. Traditional stucco walls have been used for thousands of years. Stucco´s rough finish usually covers walls using a wire or wood lath base. Its composition comprises Portland cement, sand, lime and water. When applied in several coats over its base, stucco will provide a solid, durable, fire resistant exterior to your home.
Stucco is used frequently on Mediterranean and Southwest style architecture in milder climates and combined with iron work provides a charming ambience. In addition, stucco is frequently found on southern French architecture and the deco buildings of Southern California and Florida.
Newer techniques call for applying stucco-like acrylic polymer over foam board insulation or fiberglass mesh. Also called EIFS (exterior insulation and finish system), it is a popular alternative to traditional stucco because almost never cracks and provides additional insulation even though it is slightly more expensive.
A professional siding contractor with experience in stucco applications can provide advice about the stucco finish that is right for your project.
